This month we review our lot of 2022 Brazil Prima Qualita. Yes, it’s back again for its 20th year in our lineup (and no, that’s not a type-o!) We have offered this exceptional Brazilian coffee ever since we first got our hands on it in 2002. Hard to believe it’s been that long, but this is one of the finest Brazilian offerings you’ll find. It is a mixed lot of Dry Process and Pulp Natural coffees from Minas and Cerrado…truly amazing stuff.
Brazil Prima Qualita
The Brazil Prima Qualita is one of our proud, marquis Vournas Coffee offerings. It is a premier 17/18 screen blend of cooperatively grown natural process coffee from Minas Gerais, sweet, full-bodied natural process coffee from Cerrado, and a touch of pulp natural coffees to round it out.
Of the 15,000+ producers associated with the Guaxape Cooperative, approximately 95% of Prima Qualita producers are small farmers. The cup is the proud achievement of Guaxape producers and expert cuppers, who choose the best of the best lots to represent this crowning achievement of Brazilian production.
