When the leaves begin to change from green to yellow, you know October is here and winter not far behind. This month we’re happy to share the arrival of the new crop of our exclusive Mexico Rancho San Francisco from Chiapas,
This coffee is perhaps one of the most versatile offerings in our roster. Its rustic, yet wonderful character makes it a superior choice for an everyday cup. At the same time its lemony notes and balance of body and acidity provide it with a significant range in the way of blending.
Its producers are two brothers, Delmar and Fernando Moreno Guillen who have been steadfast in their all-natural approach to growing – no pesticides, no chemical fertilizers – and keeping their crop under a 100% natural shade canopy in the Chiapas Highlands.
2023 Mexico Rancho SF Notes: Medium body, medium acidity, lemon sweetness with vanilla and slight hints of peach.
In its many years being featured in our marquis lineup, we have had the distinct pleasure of enjoying the “Rancho” many weekend mornings at home and at the VCT cupping table. This month we hope you’ll do the same while taking in the beautiful fall colors making their way through our hills and valleys across this great nation of ours.
