Our Mexico Washed Blue Skull coffee is produced by Mario Santiz Lopez at his 5-acre farm in Chiapas, Mexico. It is a 100% Sarchimor specialty grade lot graded SHG and EP. Ships in Grainpro.
Sarchimor is a hybrid arabica variety designed to be rust resistant, while continuing to produce a consistent crop yield that can produce high quality cup results. Through the use of sustainable growing practices in combination with traditional and newer growing techniques, Mario and his have been making exceptional, high quality Blue Skull coffee for several years.
As Mexico’s largest coffee-growing region, Chiapas produces roughly 40% of the country’s total. Located on Mexico’s southern border, it is in close proximity to Guatemala and has an ideal climate for high-quality arabica coffee production. Overall Chiapas arabica coffee production is typified by the use of shade-grown natural forest canopy and traditional growing methods geared towards generational sustainability.
